About me


Anja Gampe worked at the MPI for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig, Germany, from 2004 to 2010 and visited the University of Portsmouth, UK in 2006. She received the Masters degree in Linguistics,
Mathematics and Sinology from the University of Leipzig, Germany in 2010. Her doctoral studies were supported by a fellowship at the MPI for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig
and she received the Ph.D. degree (Dr. phil.) in Psychology from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 2013. From 2013 to 2020, she was a postdoctoral scientist at the University of
Zurich. She is currently working at the Graduate Program “Open-Mindedness, Tolerance and Public Engagement” at Duisburg-Essen University. 


Anja Gampe is interested in interaction processes. In her research, she is investigating the interface between cognitive development and language acquisition, especially in children growing
up with two languages and two cultures.
